Tony Romo, Reggie Bush and other injuries should be back soon

So you drafted Tony Romo or Reggie Bush and you have been out for the past few weeks. Or maybe you have been waiting for Romo to get back so that T.O. and the other Dallas Receiving Core could have that break out year you’ve been waiting for. Well next week may be it. The good news is that Reggie Bush and Tony Romo are expected back.

So what does this mean if you have neither of these guys on your bench? Well, be weary because that 6-3 fantasy team that has been loosing out lately may be getting just what they need to get back on track and make the playoffs.

Playoffs? Playoffs! That’s right the playoffs are coming up and the team with either of these players or may both (as I’ve experienced in both of my leagues) will have ample ammunition for the playoffs. So if you’re trade deadline hasn’t happened now is the time to stock up your team for the playoffs. Look at your matchups in the next few weeks. If you need help now is the time to get it. If you don’t, then try to stack a playoff caliber team. What’s a playoff caliber team? Refer to my previous post on that, but basically it includes players that have easy matchups from here on out such as Peyton Manning, Joseph Addai, etc…

It may be too late, but if you have clinched in your league try to get the injured players that are likely to do well in playoffs such as Bush and Romo. If you’re lucky someone may trade them cheap for a quick win and you can breakup their playoff monster of a team. Remember, while fantasy football is typically an offensive game, the best defense is to break apart your opponent’s team. It sounds nasty, but who wants to go against the team with Adrian Petereson, Reggie Bush, Tony Romo, Maurice Jones Drew, and the entire Colts receiving core in the playoffs?
