Backup Quarterbacks
Tom Brady, Matt Hassleback, Vince Young, Tony Romo…
If you have any of these guys you are probably on the quest for a backup quarterback. But who can you turn to put up these kind of points each week. Well, that’s just it. You can’t look for a backup to put up starter points. Instead look for someone to put up 15-20 points by grabbing Chad Pennington, Kyle Orton, Kerry Collins, Gus Ferrotte, Derick Anderson or Jeff Garcia.
If you feel that you have clinched the playoffs don’t drop or trade any of the starters, just look to bite the bullet and get through these tough times. If you have only won three or fewer games however, look to make something happen. Look to trade for another starter with someone who has clinched playoffs. This is a turning point in the season, and people are either scrambling to make things happen, or just playing it out. Don’t self destruct your team by trading off all of your good players before playoffs. Just remember, if you can get to the playoffs its a whole new ball game.
